2019 Election Information

The following board positions are open for the 2019 Election (2-year terms):
  • Vice President*
  •  Treasurer
  •  Commissioner on Government Relations
  •  Commissioner on Resources and Policy*
  •  Director-at-Large, Recent Graduate
  • Two (2) members will also be elected to the Committee on Nominations

* Both the Treasurer and Commissioner on Resources and Policy also serve ex-officio in the same position on the Virginia Nurses Foundation Board of Trustees.

Review the Position Descriptions and Nominations Policies and Procedures Manual. Voting will be open June 24 - August 26. The ballot will be sent out by email. In the meantime, please review the slate of candidates and profiles on each of our candidates running for office! Please contact us at rphillips@virginianurses.com to request a paper ballot.

  • Call for Nominations - April 1 - May 24
  • Nominating Committee prepares slate of candidates - May 28
  • VNA Board of Directors votes to approve slate of candidates - June 3
  • Slate of Candidates published and distributed - June 14
  • Online voting begins (online and paper) - June 24
  • Deadline for ballot requests - August 16
  • Voting ends - 11:45 pm on August 26
  • Election results shared at VNA Membership Assembly - September 20
