Governor Northam signed HB 793 on April 4 without any additional amendments!

We would like to extend a thank you to everyone who advocated for this important legislation by sending letters, making phone calls, being present at subcommittee hearings and other legislative events, and spreading the word on social media.

VNA members and staff made more than 200 legislative visits and sent more than 20,000 emails in support of this legislation to members of the General Assembly and the Governor.

Please take a moment to write and thank Governor Northam, who is a physician, and as our bill patron Del. Roxann Robinson, who has been a true champion for the nursing profession and received the 2017 Friend of Nursing award from the Virginia Nurses Foundation.
