Nurses Political Action Committee
Started in 2001, the Nurse Political Action Committee (NPAC) is a coalition of nursing organizations working together to support nursing.
NPAC is non-partisan and works directly with candidates of all parties that support nursing's public policy goals.

- Promote the improvement of the health care system by raising money from organizational members
- NPAC contributes to support worthy state candidates and office holders
- The focus is the political agenda of Virginia nurses
Contributions to Candidates
Each year, NPAC reviews the list of candidates running for office in statewide elections and determines contributions based on:
- Review of membership recommendations
- Review of lobbyists recommendations
- Review of voting record
- Review of Bill Sponsorship/Co-Sponsorship
- Review of past support/leadership in nursing's initiatives
