DESCRIPTION:
District Five: One of the thirteen geographic areas of the Virginia Nurses Association covers one of the most historic geographic regions of our Commonwealth, and indeed the nation. Members of our district live and work in locations from the unique Eastern Shore, nestled between the historic Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic Ocean to the west of the Commonwealth's capital in Richmond. The lands covered by our district are lands where the founding fathers of our country convened to dialogue, debate and develop solutions to the most perplexing issues of their times. Just as our region was a hot bed of ideas for creating a new nation, so too do we now come together to seek solutions for the perplexing issues confronting our profession and the health care of Virginians and indeed the nation.
